Pradeep Nelahonne Shivamurthappa is a Senior Staff Engineer/Manager at Qualcomm India with over 16 years of extensive experience in architecting, designing, developing, and overseeing on-device AI/ML solutions. He is a research scientist who has led several challenging AI problem statements in the domains of pattern recognition, image and video analytics, model optimization, quantization, and auto-ML. Pradeep is an expert in driving and managing technical and architectural dependencies in the field of ML/Deep Learning, system software development, RTOS, Linux Kernel, Linux device drivers, ARM processors, and system debugging. He is proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Pradeep has a strong knowledge of various DL architectures and its applications like segmentation, image revitalization, object detection, and classification. He is an expert in applying ML and Deep Learning skills for performance enhancement in mobile platforms. His expertise also includes auto ML, neural architecture search, binary neural networks, on-device learning, reinforcement learning, model compression techniques, model optimization, quantization, pattern recognition, computer vision, image and video analytics. Pradeep has worked with several ML frameworks such as Python, TF, Pytorch, and other ML frameworks used for inference like TFlite, Arm Neural Network, Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine. Pradeep has worked with Android/Linux based mobile platforms and has expertise in BSP development for mobile and IOT platforms. He has a strong knowledge of ARM architectures and Linux internals and RTOS.
